Croydon Park, pub

The Croydon Park Hotel is located along Georges River Road, in the inner west suburb of Croydon Park. It is typical of the style of classic old pub that you see out in the suburbs. While many of these types of pubs have closed, been redeveloped or replaced by larger venues over the years, it's good to see that many have survived too.

I agree with you, I like to see the old buildings, pubs, whatever, maintained and used! They're frequently much more interesting to visit than the "made in box, overnight" architecture that you see so much of today. Terrific shot, Jim, as always! Hope your week is off to a great start!

Interesting old style pub - but as you say there are not many of them left.

Gattina, we have a lot of suburbs named after places in the UK because many early settlers wanted a reminder of their old home.
