(Σοφούλα) He was a talented and educated artist of theological paintings and chanted in the men's church choir. As a philanthropist he supported in many ways the Greek immigrants upon their arrival and was merciful to the numerous people in need even through the Great Depression. Every Easter the church commity asked him to carry the Cross of Christ the 'Epitaph' to honour him. In the year 1937, he was awarded with a gold decoration by the Hellenic King, King George II. Yes, it was by grandfather whom built Saint Sophias Cathedral at Paddington. Thank you very kindly.
