Kogarah, statue

This statue is located outside Jubilee Stadium along Park Street, in the southern suburb of Kogarah. It commemorates rugby league player Reg Gasnier, who played for the St George Dragons from 1958 to 1967. The statue was dedicated in 2010 at the Sydney Football Stadium in Moore Park but due to the redevelopment of that stadium moved to Jubilee Stadium in 2019 for the duration. The St George Illawarra Dragons Walk of Fame is also located here.

  1. Lots of shadows here. I always rugby players are pretty tough. They don't seem to wear any protective gear.

    1. He was the captain of the national side on eight occasions between 1962–1967. He is considered to be one of the greatest players of all time.
