Dolls Point, emergency response beacon

This emergency response beacon has been installed along Lady Robinsons Beach at Botany Bay in the southern suburb of Dolls Point. This beach is not patrolled by life guards but a rescue tube is provided here. The solar-powered, 4G/5G-enabled, yellow units feature a 24/7 call button, microphone, camera, and loudspeaker to directly alert the Surf Life Saving State Operations Centre to emergencies. I recently discovered an emergency response beacon was installed in Brighton-Le-Sands and this is the other one at the bay.

  1. This is very interesting. With the solar power, I wonder how long the battery lasts during cloudy, rainy days when there is little to no sunshine.
