Millers Point, Lord Nelson Hotel

The Lord Nelson Hotel is a heritage listed pub located on the corner of Kent Street and Argyle Place, in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. It was designed by Michael Lehane and built in 1835 in the Old Colonial Regency style as a residence. A liquor licence was granted in 1842, making it the oldest working licensed pub in Australia.

  1. That's very pretty. I love the blue lights they used.

  2. If It was designed by Michael Lehane and built in 1835 in Regency style as a residence, is there anything to see of the original design now. If you added a photo taken in daytime, would we appreciate at least the facade better? I love Victorian architecture.

    1. I had dinner and drinks there last week so took some snaps while I was there. I'll try and visit sometime during the day.

  3. I liked the blue lighting and the art (what I could see of it) on the concrete barriers. I, too, would like to see this in daylight.
