'Shellwall' is a seven-storey public art installation on the southern facade of the Alexander residential building at Barangaroo. It was created in 2015 by Bidjigal elder Esme Timbery and Wiradjuri/Kamilaroi artist Jonathan Jones, to honour indigenous shell-work traditions and historic local shell middens.

Very eye catching and decorative--reminds me of beautiful lace.
ReplyDeleteThat's a beautiful feature. Nice to see indigenous art being celebrated like this.
