The couple returned to Custom House E16 in 1932 with their infant son. Frank was baptised in Custom House in 1902 to a Harold Eason Smith, the local constable at the Victorian docks. Agnes was born in Antrim , which is where both passed away in 1976 and 77 respectively.Carry Fghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01531785154689571735noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34645388.post-22136370035622072122022-08-08T11:30:45.272+10:002022-08-08T11:30:45.272+10:00Anonymous, I don't think churches are allowed ...Anonymous, I don't think churches are allowed to ring them these days. My husband Ken Symonds and I Mavis Jean Bayliss were married there on the 21st October 1961 by the Reverend Rodney Noble. Before Reverend Noble, Reverend Denman was the Minister there and I remember he taught Scripture Classes at Chapel Street, Primary School, I am not sure if Reverend Denman's title was correct. We lived at 58 Illawarra Road, Marrickville at the time but we moved from Marrickville when I was thirteen years old but returned to this dear old church for my wedding in 1961. I love this church and would love to think they still held church services there. But the Marrickville church's facade and tower were pared back to the essentials and were not at all too old fashioned.
