Woronora, bridge

Woronora River Bridge crosses the Woronora River, between the southern suburbs of Sutherland and Woronora. It was completed in 2001 to eliminate the steep descents and ascents for traffic using the Old Woronora Bridge, which also remains in use for local traffic, just south of this bridge. The new bridge is approximately 600 metres long and features a 3 metre public wide shared pedestrian walkway and cycleway suspended below the northern deck.

  1. Looks like the river was very calm that day. Those bridges seem to lead to a very green and lush place :)

  3. Crossed both of them many times in the 70s. It's Diane's old stomping ground.

  9. I'm loving this new bridge, although I like driving in a winding steep hilly mountains (before the bridge) but I can't emagine me driving to Miranda without the bridge anymore, it makes my driving to the shire so much easier, I drive pass there almost everyday.... and I was just there the other day week too at that restaurant by the river, it's great.
