Como Hotel

The Como Hotel is a historic hotel in the southern suburb of Como. It was originally built circa1878 and extensively rebuilt after a major fire in November 1996. The suburb takes its name from Lake Como, at the foot of the Bernese Alps in Italy.

  1. Won't it be a joyous day when electricity is supplied by underground cables. Not even in my children's lifetime I suspect.

An interesting old building. Must have been heart-breaking to see it burnt. I wonder whose idea it was to name a Sydney suburb after a city in Switzerland!
