Strathfield, Intercession of the Holy Virgin Ukranian Orthodox Church

The Intercession of the Holy Virgin Ukranian Orthodox Church is in the western suburb of Strathfield. Many people wouldn't realise it's actually in Strathfield because it's close to Flemington railway station and on the border of Lidcombe and West Homebush.

  2. You have unearthed some beauties, Jim. Are you going to try for something similar for the non-Christian faiths?

I had no idea that we had such a variety of Christian churches spread over Sydney. And yet you are in a most compact area. It is not as though you have touched the North Shore or the Northern Beaches (B'hai Temple) or gone anywhere near the Hills or Penrith.

    Excellent series ...

  3. Thanks Julie. I'll try and feature some more mosques and temples at some stage. It's true that I've taken a lot of photos from the my local area, the southern suburbs, but I do have a few photos of the North Shore that I haven't shown yet. Unfortunately I haven't ventured much into the Northern Beaches, Hills District or Greater Western Sydney with my camera yet. I'll have to rectify that soon. Cheers.
