Haslams Creek, Homebush Bay

One of the bends in Haslams Creek at Homebush Bay. The viewing pier can be seen in the distance. Following some decent rainfalls, the grass is certainly green around the creek at the moment. It's amazing how different it was here, when we were in the middle of the drought.

  1. Fresh green grass goes perfectly with the blue water. Perfect blue eye of water!

  4. Glad things are turning green in your parts. That is quite a contrast! The hills in California are now all brown...

  5. That's really pretty, beginning to think I should go out there and take a look. How do you get there - train or Rivercat?

  6. The train is probably best if you're going there by public transport Ann. It's a very long walk from the ferry wharf but there may be a bus service. You can drive out there when there aren't any sport events on and usually find a parking spot in one of the side streets that don't require a ticket.

  15. Wow, what a difference between the two. Reminds me of how things are here. There's such a difference between when the hill are a deep, rich green and that golden brown. And still, both can be really beautiful.

  18. We had lakes down in Georgia that were almost the cracked mud you would see out west. Now, they are doing well with the rain this spring.
