Coogee, Dolphin Point

Dolphin Point at Coogee Beach, bathed in golden light at dusk, in the eastern suburb of Coogee.

  3. See the lovely doorway above the cliff - was that ever attached to anything? If it was originally built as it stands now, what was its intended purpose?

    My husband is an old Bondi lad. Your photos of Bondi and Coogee remind him fondly of his years at high school and university :)

  4. Hels, the doorway was part of the Giles Baths complex that included a gym, hot sea baths and a private sunbaking area. It was demolished in 2000. I found this website that tells you a bit more about the history of Giles Baths

  7. I wouldn't mind jumping into that water on a warm summer's day. I bet those hot baths were fun too, back in the day when they were at their best.
