Opera House and Harbour Bridge
The Opera House and Harbour Bridge are the two best recognised and most photographed landmarks in Sydney. I captured them here last week as I was walking along the foreshore of Sydney Harbour beside the Royal Botanic Gardens, near Mrs Macquaries Point. It was a beautiful sunny day with only a hint of clouds in the sky.

ReplyDeleteAh! The beautiful city. Bill's nickname for the opera house is "Sonya's workshop", as that is where our daughter, Sonya, works as a production manager. (kidding we're not proud)

ReplyDeleteWhat a coincidence. I was going to post almost the same picture but in black and white, taken in the seventies during our farewell trip around town. It is such a great shot to capture these two Sydney landmarks like this.

ReplyDeleteDallas is supposed to get a couple of Calatrava bridges one of these years, and just got a new opera house, but I doubt if they'll ever symbolize this area the way yours do Sydney.

ReplyDeletePerfect shot this one, the harbour bridge and the opera house... I had my wedding pics taken there but shame it was night time.... you should try take some shots from Kirribilli in one of the waterfront there, great spot
