Surry Hills, Sydney Mansions (Theme Day: The Tenin Technique)

Sydney Mansions is a block of flats located on Goulburn Street, in the inner city suburb of Surry Hills. This building is a redeveloped warehouse of the iconic Mark Foy's department store. Their stores were located in nearby Oxford Street and Liverpool Street which is now The Downing Centre.

  1. What an amazing perspective this is. Please allow me to borrow it from time to time.
Nice as well to see how clean and bright the streets looks.
    A wonderful Wednesday for you.

  4. I can see from your first four commenters that your tribute to Eric by utilising "his" perspective is appreciated.

Well done. You have certainly captured the essence of Paris Daily Photo.

  5. Yay Julie,
You are the first to wish Eric a happy 5th blogoversary with your tribute photo! Being in Sydney, you are way ahead of the rest of the globe time wise! Great, great shot!

  6. Thanks Julie. I completely forgot to put a mention of the theme day in the title. Fixed that up now. I had taken a similar shot of this building a few years back. So, when I heard about this tribute to Eric, utilising his perspective at Paris Daily Photo, I decided to revisit and take a better shot.

  12. Prop that left side up! (Very hard for a structural engineer to look at a photo like that.)
Seriously, I do like it very much esp. the width and how the roof line follows the edge of the frame. Super shot.
