The Aquarium Wharf is located close to Sydney Aquarium and Pyrmont Bridge. The last couple of passengers are seen here boarding the Supply, a First Fleet Class ferry acquired in 1984. It is part of the Sydney Ferries fleet that operates on the Inner Harbour. It was named Supply, after one of eleven ships of the First Fleet that sailed to Australia in 1787.
Sydney does have excellent ferry service across the many parts of its harbor.

I love travelling around the harbour. Yesterday, I bused in to an art exhibition up on Observatory Hill with my daughter and her daughter, then took the ferry home to Double Bay wharf. This was the 'Pam Burridge' which is a totally different type of ferry from the "First Fleeters".

I love the green and yellow ferries of Sydney harbour. They remind me of when i lived there many years ago.

ReplyDeleteAnn, the bridge is a public bridge and Sydney Ferries which runs these ferry services is a state government organisation. These are just popular heritage colour choices in Australia, especially from the Federation era in the early 1900s.
