Millers Point, Holy Trinity School

This heritage sandstone building was originally the Holy Trinity School, in the inner city suburb of Millers Point. A school was begun at this site in 1844 and this school house was built in 1850. It was last used as a primary day school in 1942 and is now used as the parish hall for The Garrison Church that I featured yesterday.

  2. What a lovely, little old school! And a great shot as always, Jim! I always enjoy learning more about your world -- our two countries speak the same language, but how different we are in many ways and I love it! Have a great week!

  6. Fascinating architecture, especially the church, but there's something distinctive about the schoolhouse, too. Very interesting history. Thank you so much.

  13. Like the stained window, the bricks of the olden days were much bigger than these days.
