Thanks, Julie. It's my EOS 450D that I've had for nearly a year but I think I'm just becoming more familiar with all the settings and getting the most out of it now. I also still use my compact camera because I carry that around all the time. So you may notice some differences between shots on my blog depending on what camera I use.

I did, and still do, the same as you. Except now I have a much better point & shoot that lives in my handbag all the time. It took me more than 2 years and 3 courses to become really comfortable with my 400D. I'm now trying to come to grips with a new 60D - all the buttons are in a differnt place.
Ann, I tried to say 'snap' yesterday on the subject of the Anzac Bridge but Blogger spat the dummy for us all and wouldn't let me comment. There's a lot to learn. I've got a nifty book but I really should do one of those courses, one of these days.

Jim, this is a heart-breakingly beautiful photo of a wonderful bridge!The last decent infrastructure to be built without imposing a toll.(Shhh!Don't let the government hear that - it will give them ideas) I was painting on top of the western pylon during the later stages of construction watching it join up from above. Anzac Bridge looks suspiciously like infrastructure. Ah, the good old days.
