Birchgrove, shop

This corner shop is located in Rowntree Street, in the inner west suburb of Birchgrove. The building has recently been restored and has reopened as Rowntree Corner Store with grocery goods, fresh fruit and vegetables and a delicatessen.

  3. Nice to see a corner store reopening but guess by the suburb that it is pretty up market. Good luck to them.

  4. I like the restoration, although how authentic is that colour combination, Jim? I hope when they are open that they junk up the frontage with barrows and trays. It is a bit forbidding in its tidiness!!

  9. Nice shot! The balcony reminds me of the French Quarter of New Orleans.

  10. Fantastic 19th century building and even lovelier iron work on the balcony. Plus the design made the absolute most of the tight corner location.
