The Rocks, Australian Steamship Navigation Company building

This small road bridge at The Rocks carries Elevated Road from Hickson Road to the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay. The road is glistening at night after a rain shower with the Australian Steamship Navigation Company building on the left and another redeveloped warehouse building in the background.

  2. This is a great bridge to people-watch from when there is a major event in Campbell's Cove, Jim. I like that little area. It can take me all afternoon and 100 photos to drag myself away!!

  5. I still love this building :) As you noted, it was acquired by the Sydney Cove Redevelopment Authority as recently as 1989, bless their hearts for quickly restoring the building to its original appearance! I have used this example of restored Sydney architecture in lectures.
