Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay, Rubber Duck

"Rubber Duck" is a 15-metre high, inflatable artwork installed beside the Cockle Bay marina at Darling Harbour until yesterday. The  artwork was created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman for the Sydney Festival. This view towards Pyrmont Bridge was from the walkway beside the Western Distributor flyover above Darling Harbour.

    1. Apparently he was so popular that they're planning on bringing him back for the Sydney Festival next year but in another location.

  2. And you need a harbor for this bath "toy"! LOve the headon shot. And Hofman has created some unusual and spectacular sculptures.

  3. Love it! We have a (much smaller) rubber duckie next to our bath tub. The grandkids get a kick out of us having one. I tell them that EVERY bath tub NEEDS a rubber duckie. ;)

    1. Poor, duckie. Luckily, there's more than one and we have another one visiting the Parramatta River in Sydney this year.
