"Stones Against The Sky" is a contemporary sculpture created by Ken Unsworth in 1998. It is installed in front of The Elan apartment building at Kings Cross, in the inner city suburb of Rushcutters Bay. This view is from the entrance of the building, looking towards the Sydney city skyline at sunset.
Lovely silhouette.
ReplyDeleteNeat looking sculpture and a great skywatch! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteWow!I was wondering how the stone is hung up there.
ReplyDeleteHow unique. I never thought of stones being held up on posts as an art subject. It does provide quite a view!

Wow! Those elevated stones make a dramatic statement against the lovely sunset colours!
ReplyDeletelol, that´s a different sculpture. Not sure I like it though. Have to see it in daylight.
ReplyDeleteI don't think much of the sculpture either but it makes a good silhouette against a sunset. If you click on The Elan link, you can see it in the daylight although it's dwarfed by the apartment building.
DeleteHaving them 'in the sky' makes them somehow look without weight.
ReplyDeletePlease have a good Friday.
Heavy-duty sculpture!
