McMahons Point, sunset

This sunset view was from the north shore suburb of Milsons Point on New Year's Eve, looking towards McMahons Point and Balmain. Some early, low fireworks can be seen here detonated from a barge on Sydney Harbour.

    It will be 41c today (Friday). I wish I had a house on the very water edge of the Harbour. And one of those small boats.

    Beautiful shot, I have never braved NYE on the harbour, one of our sons did he is on Blues Point in your photo, He loved it!

    Love how the early firework above the barge complements the colours of the sky.
    Such wonder, to celebrate New Year's Eve in summer. Something to dream of, on a grey greary winter evening here!

    It makes for a pretty capture with the soft sunset colours in the background and that burst of colour from the fire-works in the middle ground.

    Very scenic! I imagine it is quite popular to cruise Sydney Harbor during sunset whether or not it's New Year's Eve.

      Yes, it's the north shore of Sydney Harbour which is also north of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
