This heritage listed cottage is located along Cumberland Street at The Rocks. 'Lilyvale Cottage' was built in 1845 in the Colonial Regency architectural style, for innkeeper Michael Farrell. It was originally intended to be a gentlemen's residence but became a tavern and boarding house called the Cumberland Hotel. It had conservation work done in 1987 and restored in 1991 as part of the ANA Hotel development next door.
