Zetland, Zetland Hotel

The Zetland Hotel is located on the corner of Bourke Street and Elizabeth Street, in the inner city suburb of Zetland. The original three story hotel in the Victorian architectural style was built in 1890. It was reduced to two storeys and altered to an art deco style in 1936. It has also been previously known as the Green Square Hotel.

  3. I love Art Deco for pubs - it was a style perfectly suited to the notions of pleasure and glamour. And this Deco pub has an exterior that has been well looked after.

  11. It's the shade that soothes me in this photo. Too much sun in the Arizona desert these days!

  12. The art deco makes the building look classier. I don't know what to expect from Australian hotels, interesting.
