Circular Quay (Theme Day: Looking Out)

Looking out across Circular Quay to Sydney Harbour and the Sydney Harbour Bridge. This view was from the walkway beside the Cahill Expressway above Circular Quay railway station. It was a busy day at Circular Quay, with the cruise ship Carnival Spirit visiting and a variety of ferries arriving and departing.

  1. The ship appears to be as big as the bridge.

  7. Sydney Harbour is always full of life, and busiest at Circular Quay. Great shot for the theme.

  8. «Louis» never tires of the views you provide of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and he always appreciates your linking them to Sunday Bridges!

That very cruise ship was recently in dry dock in San Francisco for some refitting!

  9. I think Circular Quay is always busy, based on my two visits.

It is curious that traffic on the water is so pleasant and relaxing to view, but traffic on the streets is so stressful and unpleasant to view.

  16. What a beautiful and busy harbor!

We see cruise ships on the Strait of Juan de Fuca in the summer as they come and go to Alaska. So huge; they're floating cities.
