Darling Harbour, Cockle Bay Wharf

This view of Cockle Bay Wharf at Darling Harbour is from the eastern end of Pyrmont Bridge. Santa Claus hangs off the facade of the Cockle Bay Wharf building and Santa faces appear on lamps as part of Santa Fest. A People Mover Train makes its way along the promenade as a water taxi travels in the bay.

  1. Love to see all that sun and blue sky--both of which we're a wee bit short on up here in the norther hemisphere this Christmas.

  6. The wharf and train look fantastic, RIGHT on the water edge. But why oh why does Santa look like he just stepped out of a medieval Czech fable? This is Australia and the season is high summer!!!!!

    1. Would you rather he be wearing boardshorts, a surfie singlet and thongs? :)

  12. The Santa does look rather out of place with all that warm sunshine, but it looks very enticing to people like me in the far frozen north.
