Darling Harbour, Darling Park

This sunset view of the Darling Harbour footbridge and the Darling Park Monorail Station was on the last day of operation of the Sydney Monorail. The bridge takes pedestrians over the Western Distributor and links to a ramp in Market Street, near the corner of Sussex Street. The monorail track is currently being demolished with the monorail stations to follow later.

  2. Such lovely lighting. And the monorail looks like a time capsule from this perspective.

  12. Too bad about the monorail going away. The last day of operation must have brought a lot of people out, thus explaining the large number of people on the footbridge. A colorful shot, Jim, bustling with activity and a welcome contribution to Sunday Bridges. :-)

    1. Yes, Louis. There was a long queue to ride the monorail one last time.
