St Matthew's Anglican Church is located along Botany Road in the eastern suburb of Botany. The original church on this site was erected in 1841 and this church which replaced it in 1862 is amongst the oldest in Australia.
I take it the original St.Matthews was a wooden structure?, and that is why it was replaced as the congregation were able to afford a more solid building. So nice that it is so well kept.
It looks very different from Algican churches in central Canada but it might be the palm tree that's making me think that.
