Coogee, Giles Baths, sign

A warning sign on the cliff above Giles Baths just north of Coogee Beach, in the eastern suburb of Coogee.

  1. I find it amazing that one must be warned of doing things that common sense should be able to be used. I am sure that this is taking into consideration those who like to sue. Just looking at the area, I figure I wouldn't have been close enough to read the sign. This is an awesome sight! (I do not use the word 'awesome' loosely.)

  2. Definitely not a place for a dip, though the churning water makes a fantastic image.

    1. It was a rough surf this day but at other times the pool is protected by the rocks and has calm water for swimmers.

  7. You think? I shouldn't dive off that edge. Dang. (We always get a kick out of warning signs like this. (My husband calls them 'CYA" signs as they are obviously put up to protect the municipality or park district or whoever is in charge.) Beautiful beautiful ocean.
