Maroubra Beach

The view from the cliff above the northern end of Maroubra Beach in the eastern suburb of Maroubra. The name of the suburb is a local Aboriginal word meaning "place of thunder".

  1. Maroubra doesn't sound as well known as Bondi or Manly, but it looks gorgeous in the photo.

I have just "discovered" you via Virginia in the USA - ridiculous as my main residence is also in Australia. "Weekend Reflections" is a great idea and I'm also impressed by your images on your Sydney-City blog. Warm regards, Elizabeth
