Woolloomooloo, hotel

This former hotel is located on the corner of Sir John Young Crescent and Palmer Street in the inner city suburb of Woolloomooloo. The Royal Domain Hotel was built around 1876 in the Victorian Classical architecture with elements of Romanesque Revival detail. It was later known as the Merryfield Hotel and is today divided into residential apartments.

  5. I love the balcony inserts in this delightful building. And the touch of green growth there adds character. An interesting design that clearly works with the corner postion it holds on the street.
