The Esther Abrahams Pavilion is located in Bicentennial Park, in inner west suburb of Annandale. It is named after the woman, who with her husband George Johnston, founded the Annandale Estate which lent its name to the suburb. The park is on the foreshore of Rozelle Bay, with the Anzac Bridge just seen in the distance.
Thats quite an unusual structure. And I love the name Annandale.

ReplyDeleteHow very interesting. I think they've taken the name "Annandale" from the original clan seat of the lowland Johnston family in Scotland. It's just beside Lockerbie where PanAm 103 was blown out of the sky. All the best, Bonny
