Anzac War Memorial

The Anzac War Memorial stands in Hyde Park South. This view is from the southern side near Liverpool Street. The building was designed by Bruce Dellit in the Art Deco architectural style and completed in 1934 with sculptures created by Rayner Hoff. It was built as a memorial to the Australian Imperial Force of World War I and is the focus of commemoration ceremonies on Anzac Day and Remembrance Day.

  1. I love Deco in any case, but this is one of the best public buildings using Deco. Excellent
