The Rocks, sandstone carving

This sculpture is a sandstone carving which is located outside the Park Hyatt Hotel at The Rocks. "Glyphs" was created in 2011 by Christine Grishin who exhibits as G.W.Bot.

    1. Jackie, if you walked around the harbour foreshore on the way to the Sydney Harbour Bridge then you probably walked right past it. You may have been distracted by the views of the Sydney Opera House from this location. :)

  5. Love the sandstone - not so keen on the decorations - do they have some significance perhaps?

    1. The artwork does resemble traditional Aboriginal artwork that you might see painted in caves or carved in rocks.
