Bexley, Baptist Church

The Bexley Baptist Church was built in 1914 and is located along Forest Road, in the southern suburb of Bexley.

    1. agreed. The dark red bricks make the churches look grounded, not ethereal.
      But parishes had to use what they could afford, I suppose.

    2. Yes, Kathe, we do still have brick manufacturers. Most houses and many apartment buildings use bricks in their construction.

  6. The dark red brick set off by the green door is very nice. It looks like it goes back quite a way from the road.

  7. A strong little building, maybe lacking in architectural flourish, but a church is a meeting place, after all, and this one says "I'm here to stay!"
