Newtown, art gallery

The Alpha Gallery is located at the end of Union Street, in the inner city suburb of Newtown. It is home to the Alpha House Artists Co-operative, which has been in operation since 1998, incorporating a gallery, studios and darkroom of the artists who reside on the premises.

  1. Artists live there and have their studios there? Wow, that's great. I like the architecture of this building.

  2. It is nice to live in the same place where you work, and where are also other artists. This house is very cute.

  4. It's good to see an art friendly place like this... more than just a gallery. Like the design on the lower window on the right.

  9. It looks older than the collective, so they did a good job on the conversion.

  10. The dancer looks like someone from a 1930s cartoon. Charming looking building. All it lacks is its own café. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
