St Mary's Cathedral, ice rink

Winter Garden is a winter themed event in Cathedral Square and Cook and Philip Park. There is an outdoor ice rink in the square in front of St Mary's Cathedral, an inflatable slide and a mechanical snowboard on slopes in the park and walking on water in zorb balls in the fountain.

  2. The night light bathes this wintry scene in magic and casts some mellow, enchanting shadows.

  3. How nie a view - the shadows on the ice may keep our focus, but hopefully we can look at the cathedral too as the vertical light may compel us to look at he heavens above. Better to stop skatink while looking up though...

    1. Not the cathedral itself. It's in a public space so I'd say the city organises the event.

    1. It's artificial in Sydney but it does snow on the outskirts in the Blue Mountains in the years when it's really cold.

    1. You're welcome to it. I'm actually escaping to the Northern Hemisphere for a few weeks to escape the cold.
