Paddington, The Village Inn

The Village Inn is located on the corner of Glenmore Road and Gipps Street, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. This heritage hotel was built in 1888 as The Rose and Crown Hotel replacing an 1853 hotel on this site with the same name. In 1920 a third story was added to the front section and in 1925 the space was enlarged and the façade of the hotel was altered in 1930 when a street awning was added.

  1. Hi Jim - have you ever stayed in that hotel? Sure is rich in history - I'd love to learn more about it.
Thanks for your visit today. Have a good one! : - )

    1. Michele, since I live in Sydney there isn't a need to stay in an inner city hotel. If you click on the link in my post, you can visit the hotel's website.

    1. I'm sure this hotel must have featured in a movie or a television series.
