The Rocks, bank

The former English, Scottish & Australian Chartered Bank is a heritage listed building along George Street at The Rocks. It was designed by William Wilkinson Wardell and built in 1886 in the Gothic Revival architectural style. It now houses an Italian restaurant.

  9. LOVE this structure. I really like the contrast between the symmetry of the upper section with the asymmetry of the ground floor. The single exterior material just makes a perfect pallet for the absolutely beautiful decoration in the stone work. Thanks for sharing this little treasure.
