Martin Place, Reserve Bank of Australia building and Australian Provincial Assurance building
The Reserve Bank of Australia building and the Australian Provincial Assurance building are located along Martin Place. The Reserve Bank of Australia building is a 22-storey building between Macquarie Street and Phillip Street built in 1964 in the Post War International architectural style. It houses the headquarters of the Reserve Bank of Australia, Australia's central bank and a money museum. The Australian Provincial Assurance building, formerly the Overseas Union Bank, is a 14-storey building between Phillip Street and Elizabeth Street built in 1936 in the art-deco architectural style. This view is from the top of the State Savings Bank building on the opposite side of Martin Place, looking east.

DeleteTwo periods sides by side,but I definitely go with the older one...love the art deco style. The new one towers over the old, but the old towers over the old in beauty.

Love the building in the foreground. The more I look at art deco design, the more I am drawn to the streamline moderne and machine style branches of the movement. This is a perfect example of a place where a camera attached to a drone could provide some spectacular images of the details. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed day.
