Pyrmont, Metcalfe Park, pop-up park

Metcalfe Park is located on the foreshore of Pyrmont Bay. This year a pop-up summer park has been created within the park which encourages people to spend more time here to exercise, play or relax. They have provided seats, shade, table tennis tables, power points to charge your phone and free public wi-fi. This area seems to be popular with office workers on weekdays but not used so much by residents or visitors on weekends. Some of the structures feature interesting artwork.

  1. A great idea to have the pop up summer park within the park for the people to enjoy. Have a lovely new week!

  2. I think the space is quite inviting and the pale shade of bluish green is so nice. I think I would stop there.

  4. Lovely idea for summer. Not everyone wants to sunbake or charge around under the summer sun. The design looks quite artistic.

  7. I've seen pop-up stores, markets, and galleries. But never a pop-up park. Pretty cool. Thanks for contributing to this week's Monday Mural.
