St Joseph's Catholic Primary School is located along Parker Street, in the southern suburb of Rockdale. This heritage listed building was originally a church and school, built in 1929 in the Romanesque style.
I agree with Gemma, very imposing. The first word I thought was Staunch looking. I can just picture old time Nun's in their Penguin suits glaring at the children to impose domination over them.
It is impressive.
ReplyDeleteA tall, imposing building... especially impressive on the street corner.

ReplyDeleteYou do not see many schools like this today. As always, enjoy what you share.
ReplyDeleteThere is such a starkness to it with no landscaping around it. I can picture nuns ruling the hallways!
