The animated Christmas display windows at the Elizabeth Street store of the David Jones department store. This year, Santa has asked a team of polar bears to prepare the presents and load the sleigh for take-off.
It's rare to see a department store window filled with Christmas decorations these days. We used to make a trip in to the city each year and see store after store filled with holiday cheer. It was always a huge treat for Melbourne children to be taken by their parents to see all the Myers' windows every summer holidays. My brothers and I loved it.
Did David Jones in Sydney always do something similar?
