Circular Quay, Overseas Passenger Terminal
A view of the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay, where many cruise ships dock in Sydney Harbour, viewed from the roundabout at the end of Circular Quay Way. The tower is a great vantage point for viewing the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Sydney Opera House. It was originally built in 1960 and was redesigned and refurbished in 1988.
I bet there are times when that is a very busy place.
ReplyDeletelooks nice! Love the clear blue sky..
ReplyDeleteLove the round tower! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI like the design!
ReplyDeleteyou must have been up awfully early to get this shot with no crowds of people!
ReplyDeleteIt was later in the day but without a cruise ship in port you can be lucky enough to find moments when there aren't many people around.
DeleteI'd love to cruise there.
ReplyDeleteFrankly My Dear
The style looks far more elegant than the original 'modern' design when it first opened.
ReplyDeleteApparently the original 1960s passenger terminal was regarded as an eyesore.
DeleteIt looks so different without the rest of the city backdrop behind it.
