Arncliffe, house

Newstead, previously known as Wyndyknowe, is a heritage listed house located on the corner of Carlton Street and Wolli Creek Road in the southern suburb of Arncliffe. It was built in 1889 in the Victorian Italianate architectural style. It is currently used as a boarding house.

  3. All they would need to do is pull out that ugly veranda on the top floor and put back the cast iron lacework, paint the total house a proper late Victorian colour and plant shrubs next to the walls. It would be stunning, once again.

    1. I have been waiting for them to do that. There are some beautifully restored Victorian mansions in this suburb.
