After I saw your photo and enlarged it, I had to do some research (love how much we learn while blogging!) and here is my answer: A group of seagulls is called a colony, contrary to a popular belief that it is called a flock. Before seagulls are old enough to breed, they form nursery flocks, which are closely monitored by several of the adult males.
