Ashfield, fire station
Ashfield Fire Station is on the corner of Norton Street and Victoria Streets, in the inner west suburb of Ashfield. It was built in 1888 in the Federation Anglo Dutch arcitectural style but had first floor additions made in 1915.
I like its design, and that it's still in use. Some of the stations here of that age have been converted to other uses.

ReplyDeleteJim - I love fire stations since I have family that have (and are) serving as firemen. The contrast of the green and red is lovely.
