Ashfield, statue

This bronze statue of "Mary Poppins" is located in Ashfield Park, in the inner west suburb of Ashfield. It is a memorial to Pamela Travers (P.L.Travers), the author of Mary Poppins who lived in the suburb before she left Australia permanently in 1924.

    1. Apparently she hid the fact that she was Australian and everyone assumed she was British.
