The Olympic Sports Bar and Grill is located on the corner of Moore Park Road and Regent Street, in the inner city suburb of Paddington. The heritage listed hotel was built in 1877 in the Victorian Free Classical architectural style. It was extended in 1909 and in 1936 the building was sold to Tooheys when it was extended and altered to the design of Scott Green & Scott Architects and the name of the hotel was changed from Adelaide Hotel to Olympic Hotel. In 1956 the saloon bar was altered and in 2005 the ground floor external art deco tiling was removed.

Classic style. It stands out well.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, but the painted colour is boring. The roof line and windows etc should stand out.
DeleteI was not very familiar with this architectural style but I do like it :-)
ReplyDeleteNO one is on the street!
