Carss Park Cottage, pergola

This pergola is at the entrance to Carss Park Cottage, a sandstone cottage built in 1860 by William Carss. It is now a museum which sits in the middle of Carss Bush Park, in the southern suburb of Carss Park. The cottage and recreational area overlook Kogarah Bay and the Carss Park Tidal Baths.

    1. William, you would probably call it a gazebo, I guess?

  6. I wonder if roses or some other kind of flowers or vines ever twined its way about the handsome pergola.

    1. I'd say it would have had some sort of vine on it originally.

  7. Am glad you gave it a title, because (at least in California) I am used to it that a pergola is longer and climbing plants with flowers grow against it. But it's a beautiful structure, and happy you chose to link it for All Seasons! Also my thanks for your kind comment on my weekly post. Enjoy your week!
